This summer, Whittington Park Community Centre are putting on a big creative competition for all children in the community. There are five activities that you can do over the summer and on Friday 30th August, we’ll get some local people to help us judge them and hand out prizes!
Each category will be judged by age group (as per your age on 30th August):
Under 5’s
5 – 8
9 – 12
The activities are:
Write a short story on any subject. No more than 2 sides of A4
Draw or paint a picture of a favourite summer memory
Write a poem about why you love summer
Make an animal and tell us a little bit about it
You can enter as many categories as you want.
You must put your name, age and adult’s phone number on the back (so we can let you know you’ve won if you can’t come to the judging day).
Drop off your creation to Whittington Park Community Centre before 29th August so our judges can start to look them over. We will display all the entries at the judging event on 30th!
Second and third place will get certificates and first place will get a prize!
Prize Giving Day!
Don’t forget to join us on Friday 30th August between 12 – 3pm for the prize giving and celebration of all the hard work! We’ll be displaying ALL the entries and handing out certificates and prizes to the winners.
The winning work will also be on display at Whittington Park Community Centre until Christmas!
