Why not start 2025 right - by focusing on ourselves and our happiness. This workshop looks at how we can reframe our thinking around making mistakes. Our brain has a natural negativity bias. It's designed to keep us safe rather than happy so when mistakes happen we can get stuck focusing on the bad parts of them. This workshop uses various exercises to explore how we can celebrate mistakes and think positively around them.
We’ll be working together as a group and in pairs for this fun and playful session.
This class is for you if:
● Making small mistakes impacts your mood more than you think it should
● You want to work on positive thinking
● You fancy trying something new and meeting new people!
We take exercises from comedy training which all help to build resilience and encourage you to embrace making mistakes. By being more accepting of mistakes, you can live a more creative and happier life. You are stronger and more resilient. Did you know X-rays, Penicillin and microwaves were all made by mistake?! It's from making mistakes that creativity thrives.
The workshop is set up to be super supportive and collaborative. It's warm and welcoming and everyone is encouraged to give everything a go and have a play. It's not a comedy workshop and there is no pressure to be "funny". The exercises we use are designed to get you thinking differently.
Playface was born out of Viki and Charlie’s love of comedy, play and leading a happier life. They run comedy classes, shows, play workshops and socials in London (and sometimes more widely). Everything they do has PLAY at the heart.
