After the refurbishment of our hall, we are excited to restart our Men’s Social group. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of local men and contribute to a more connected and supportive community.
Position: Volunteer Men’s social group assistance
Location: Whittington Park Community Centre
As a volunteer, you will help facilitate our men social group activities, which include play board games, badminton, and cultural outings. Your role will involve engaging with participants, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and assisting in organizing and coordinating group activities.
Hours required As our members need stability, we ask for a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week for at least 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with setting up activities like board games, etc.
• Chat with the members, having an open ear where necessary.
• Help during outings and day trips to places of interest.
• Assisting members with mobility issues
Skills Required • Good communicator • Welcoming and inclusive attitude • A passion for social activities, games or skills sharing. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. An enhanced DBS is required for this role, but WPCA will do this on the volunteer’s behalf
