Whittington Park Community Centre is excited to offer a series of free Health Masterclasses led by local nurse Bert Roman. Running every Wednesday from 13th November to 11th December, these sessions aim to provide valuable health information and support for the community, especially as we navigate the changes that come with aging.
About the Masterclasses
Each week’s one-hour session will focus on a specific health topic, ranging from heart health to brain function and memory. Bert will also introduce fun and gentle movement activities to help build mental and physical resilience in our daily lives. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, either in a group setting or privately, making this an ideal setting to learn, share, and grow.
Session Topics:
Week 1 (13th Nov): Heart Health
Week 2 (20th Nov): Joints, Muscles, and Arthritis
Week 3 (27th Nov): Mobility
Week 4 (4th Dec): Brain Health and Memory
Week 5 (11th Dec): Diet, Diabetes, and Healthy Eating
Join Us for Lunch
After each session, you’re invited to join us for a freshly cooked, two-course lunch at 1 PM. The lunch requires booking, so please make sure to reserve your spot through the link here.
About Bert Roman
Bert is a trained nurse and dancer who has worked in cancer care at a central London Hospital and he performed around Europe as a contemporary dancer. He now combines both skills to help others lead more creative and healthy lives.
Please note that while Bert cannot prescribe or treat you he can offer advice and help with referrals. Let's redefine aging together, embracing both its challenges and privileges.
There’s no need to book for the masterclasses—just turn up and be ready to learn and connect with others.
