START A CLASS OR EVENT

Most of our classes were started by people’s desire for an activity to start.  Everyone at WPCA is here to help get people’s ideas become a reality.  If you would like to see something new on our timetable, want to perform for us at an event or run an activity, please get in touch with Ann Mason our Centre Manager: ann@whittingtonpca.org.uk or 0207 272 1847.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

Make a difference by volunteering with us.  You could

  • come and help out at our Lunch Club for Over 60s.  You could serve lunch or come and do a singalong, run an activity or just come and chat to our lunch club members
  • be an extra pair of hands at our Stay and Play session
  • help out at The Big Day Out
  • have a look at “Our Volunteers” page where you will also find details on how to become a volunteer.

FUNDRAISING DRIVE for Transforming our Spaces

Our buildings have not seen a full refurbishment since the 1970s.  Islington Council believe that renovations are vital and have pledged £500,000 towards them but we need to raise an extra £350,000 to top up this amount.

We want to have multi-purpose, beautiful halls which can be used for a range of activities, social and cultural events. Upper Hocking Hall, our lovely light-filled space which has a view of the trees and sky, is currently inaccessible to wheelchair users and we want to install a lift so that it has access for people with disabilities.

Every little helps. This link will show you how you can get involved in our community fundraising initiatives.

DONATE

Although we receive Council support and use the funds raised from hall hire to help run our services, we rely on public donations to produce specialised projects and provide tailored equipment.  We are also actively fundraising to renovate our building that has not had a full refurbishment since the 1970s.  Download our Donation Form or visit our “A Building for the Future” campaign page for further details.
